The French player was absent from Paris Saint-Germain's match against Lille, which ended in a 2-2 draw, amid his impending departure from the club.
According to multiple press sources, Barcola's deal will cost Liverpool €145 million.
If the fee reaches €145 million, Barcola's transfer will be one of the largest of the summer transfer window, making the French player the most expensive transfer from the French league to a club outside France, surpassing the previous record of €100 million.
Barcola's departure comes after three seasons with Paris Saint-Germain, having joined the club from Lyon, where he has established himself as one of the team's key attacking players.
