Renewal of Hossam Hassan's contract with the Egypt national team until 2030

The Football Association announced the extension of Hossam Hassan's contract as head coach of the Egypt national team and his technical staff until 2030.

Hany Abu Rida, President of the Football Association, Khaled El-Dorandly, Vice President of the Association, and Mostafa Azam, General Director of the Association, met with the Egypt national team's technical staff led by the twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, along with Walid Badr, the administrative director.

The technical staff will continue until the 2030 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be held in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

In its renewal statement, the Football Association revealed the Board of Directors' commitment to providing stability for the Egypt national team's technical staff and continuing work in the upcoming phase according to the goals and plans set for the national team.

Hossam Hassan succeeded in leading the Egypt national team to the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time in history, as well as securing fourth place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Egypt national team's technical staff consists of Hossam Hassan as head coach, Ibrahim Hassan as team manager, Tarek Soliman as general coach, Mohamed Abdelwahed as coach, and Saafan El-Saghir as goalkeeping coach.

Dr. Mohamed Abou El-Ela heads the medical staff of the Egypt national team, while Walid Badr holds the position of administrative director for the Egypt national team.

The Egypt national team is preparing to begin the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with matches against Angola and South Sudan next September.

The Egypt national team will face Angola at 10:00 PM on September 25 next year at Cairo Stadium, in the first round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, the Egypt national team will play its second qualifier match against South Sudan on September 29 next year in Juba, at 3:00 PM Cairo time.

The Egypt national team is placed in Group Two of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers alongside Angola, South Sudan, and Malawi.

The Egypt national team is seeking to arrange a friendly match in September against either Tanzania, Ghana, or Rwanda.
