Some press reports mentioned that Scottish club Celtic is close to signing Haitham Hassan, in addition to Italian Inter Milan's interest in signing the Egyptian player.

Antonio Virgili said in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura: "Haitham Hassan is a player at Real Oviedo; there are many rumors surrounding the player recently."
He added: "Real Oviedo has not received any official offers from any club so far."
Haitham has one season left on his contract with Real Oviedo, as he does not intend to renew with the Spanish club.
Real Oviedo was relegated to the Spanish Segunda División after finishing at the bottom of the standings in the previous season.
Haitham Hassan appeared in 34 matches with Real Oviedo last season, providing 3 assists and scoring none.
