The official Real Madrid club website highlighted the record achieved by the club for the largest number of goals scored by players in the World Cup.
The club confirmed in an official statement that Real Madrid players have scored 19 goals so far in this edition of the World Cup, which is a historic record for the largest number of goals scored by players from a single club in one World Cup tournament.
With this, Real Madrid surpasses the previous record of 18 goals scored by both Honved Budapest in 1954, Bayern Munich in 2014, and Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.
Mbappe scored 8 goals in that edition, while Bellingham scored another 6, at a time when Vinicius Junior added 4 goals, alongside Arda Guler, the scorer of the only goal.
Mbappe is considered the most prominent Real Madrid player in this regard, as the French striker scored 8 goals, at a time when the player is preparing to play an anticipated match against the Spanish national team in the semi-finals of the tournament, in the hope of advancing to the final match for the second consecutive edition.
