Jordan Pickford, the goalkeeper of the England national team, entered the history of the "Three Lions" through its widest doors, after becoming the player with the most appearances wearing the shirt of the English national team in the World Cup finals.
Pickford's achievement came after he started in England's match against Norway, currently taking place at "Hard Rock" Stadium in Miami, as part of the quarter-final round of the 2026 World Cup, raising his tally to 18 matches in the World Cup, the highest number in the history of the English national team.
The winner of the England-Norway match qualifies for the semi-final round, where they will face the qualifier from the other match between Argentina and Switzerland.
