The Algerian Football Federation announced this evening the end of the contractual relationship with the national team’s technical director, Swiss Vladimir Petković, by mutual consent between the two parties.
Petković’s journey with the “Desert Warriors” ended after 29 months at the head of the technical staff.
The federation explained in an official statement that the agreement to terminate the contract officially came into effect today, Monday, and also included all members of Petković’s assistant technical staff.
The Algerian Federation was keen to thank the Swiss coach and his technical staff, praising the professionalism and commitment they showed throughout their work period with the national team, which lasted approximately two and a half years.
The federation also expressed its appreciation for the work accomplished during Petković’s leadership of the team, wishing him and the members of his technical staff success in their upcoming endeavors.
The Algerian Federation has not yet revealed the identity of the new technical director who will lead the team in the next phase, pending the announcement of the replacement in preparation for the upcoming fixtures.
It is worth noting that Petković played a total of 33 matches with the Algerian national team, achieving 23 wins, drawing 5 matches, and suffering defeat in 5 other matches.
