Greek club Levadiakos announced the signing of Mohamed Elneny, the former Al Jazira midfielder, on a free transfer.
Elneny joined Greek club Levadiakos on a free transfer following his departure from UAE's Al Jazira at the end of last season.
Elneny left Al Jazira at the end of his contract after spending two seasons with the team.
The 33-year-old Elneny played 60 matches for Al Jazira across various competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists.
Elneny had previously joined Al Jazira on a free transfer at the start of the 2024 season.
Levadiakos became the sixth club in Elneny's professional career, which began with El Mokawloon Al Arab.
Elneny has played for El Mokawloon Al Arab, Swiss side Basel, English club Arsenal, Turkish team Besiktas, and UAE's Al Jazira.
Elneny started his professional career with El Mokawloon Al Arab before moving to Swiss club Basel in the 2013 season.
He then joined the 34-year-old player to Arsenal in January 2016, where he spent eight years, including a loan spell at Besiktas during the 2020 season.
Elneny made 161 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 6 goals and providing 10 assists; he won three titles with the club.
Notably, Levadiakos currently occupies the bottom position in the Greek Super League standings with just one point after five rounds.
