Mohamed Elneny joined the Greek club Levadiakos on a free transfer after his contract with Al Jazira in the UAE ended, as the Egyptian player will support the coastal team during the upcoming period due to the need for his services.

Levadiakos is the sixth station for Mohamed Elneny, who previously wore the shirts of El Mokawloon El Arab, Swiss side Basel, English club Arsenal, Turkish team Besiktas, and Emirati club Al Jazira.

What do you know about the Greek club Levadiakos?

Levadiakos was founded in 1961 following the merger of Trofonios and Pal Levadeia clubs, participating in the second division from which it nearly suffered relegation more than once.

Levadiakos remained in the first division for only four seasons before returning to it again in 1994 and 1995. After its second relegation, the club's level declined significantly, with its struggles in promotion being evident.

Levadiakos was promoted to the Greek league after spending ten seasons in lower divisions during the 2005/2006 season, then relegated again in the 2006/2007 season, before returning in the 2007/2008 season.

Levadiakos managed to stay in the league by a margin of one position above the relegation zone in the 2007/2008 season, but it was relegated again in the 2009/2010 season.

The club played in the Greek Super League from the 2011/2012 season until 2018/2019, before its relegation.

Levadiakos returned to the Super League after topping the Greek Second Division in the 2023/2024 season, but finished in 14th place and was relegated again before returning as usual.

The club's logo consists of vertical lines in blue and green colors. These colors originate from Pal Levadeia (green) and Trofonio (blue), the two clubs that merged to found Levadiakos.

The club's stadium was built in 1952 in the city of Livadia, located 130 kilometers from the capital Athens.
