Italian club Juventus announced the signing of Senegalese player Pape Matar Sarr from English club Tottenham Hotspur.
The Senegalese midfielder, born in 2002, joined Juventus following his experience in the English Premier League with Tottenham.
Sarr was born in Senegal and began his football career in his home country before moving to French club Metz, where he emerged as a star at a young age, attracting the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, who signed him in the summer of 2021 and loaned him to the French league for another season.
Sarr boasts an excellent physical build and the ability to combine quality and passion in both phases of play. He has gained extensive experience in the English Premier League, having played in over 100 matches.
Sarr also has experience in European competitions during his years in England, where he won the 2024/25 Europa League title with Tottenham.
At the same time, Sarr has become a key player for the Senegalese national team, with whom he won the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations and participated in the most recent World Cup held this summer.
