Sofyan Amrabat, a star of the Moroccan national team, has joined one of Europe's major clubs during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Ajax Amsterdam announced that it has reached an official agreement to sign the Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat on a free transfer, following the termination of his contract with his former club, Fenerbahce.
Amrabat, 30 years old, signed a contract with Ajax that took effect immediately and will run until June 30, 2028.

Amrabat began his career with Utrecht before later playing in the Netherlands for Feyenoord, after which he moved abroad.
The player subsequently had stints with Club Brugge, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, Manchester United, and Fenerbahce.
Last season, Amrabat played in Spain for Real Betis, and the 30-year-old international recently participated in the World Cup for the Moroccan national team for the third time.
Ajax manager Jordi Cruyff said: "We are very happy to have signed Sofyan. He is physically strong, has excellent ball-playing abilities, and possesses extensive international experience. In addition, he knows the Dutch league well, so we expect him to adapt quickly. With his signing, we have acquired exactly the type of player we were looking for."
