The Tunisian Football Federation announced the appointment of Moein Chaabani as coach of the Tunisian national team.
The Tunisian Federation revealed through its official website the appointment of Chaabani with a contract extending for a period of 4 years.
Thus, Chaabani will lead the Tunisian national team in the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 and 2028, in addition to the 2030 World Cup scheduled in Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
The Tunisian Federation announced the assistant technical staff for Chaabani, which came as follows:
Assistant coach: Murad Al-Maliki
Assistant coach: Seifallah Hosni
Goalkeepers coach: Khaled Al-Maghzawi
Fitness coach: Hatem Boulila
Analyst: Wissam Safwat
The Tunisian Federation also decided to appoint Reda Al-Jedi as national technical director and called on him to prepare the new structure of the national technical administration and determine its work program, according to a proposal from the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sports.
RS Berkane of Morocco had earlier announced the departure of its coach Moein Chaabani to coach the Tunisian national team, following an official request from the Tunisian Federation.
Moein Chaabani was scheduled to be linked with RS Berkane by a contract extending until June 2027.
It is noted that the Tunisian Federation dismissed Sabri Lamouchi from coaching the Tunisian national team after the 5-1 loss to Sweden in the opening round of the World Cup.
After that, Hervé Renard took charge of the Carthage Eagles in the matches against Japan and the Netherlands, before announcing his departure at the end of the World Cup campaign.
Chaabani had previously coached Al-Masry and Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian League.
