Al Ahly Club announced this Wednesday evening that Moroccan player Youssef Belamri, a member of the first football team, suffered a knee injury during the friendly match against Spanish Badalona, which ended moments ago.
Al Ahly defeated its counterpart Spanish Badalona 3-0 during the friendly match held at Bosc de Tossa Stadium as part of the Red Giants' preparation camp in Spain, which runs until August 20, in preparation for the new season.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, Al Ahly's doctor, explained in statements via the club's official website that Belamri was transferred to the hospital to undergo medical examinations and X-rays to check on his condition, which confirmed he suffered a knee sprain.

Al Ahly coach Hussein Ammouta fielded a lineup that included Mohamed El-Shenawy, Ahmed Eid, Yasser Ibrahim, Yassin Marai, Karim Fouad, Ahmed Reda, Omar El-Saei, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Hussein El-Shahat, Sofiane Benjdida and Mohamed Raafat.
Al Ahly's goals against Spanish Badalona came through Ali Mahmoud, who scored the first, Aktai Abdullah added the second, while Ahmed Sayed Zizo scored the third.
It is noted that Al Ahly played four friendly matches in Cairo before traveling to Spain against Cairo Nasr, La Vina, Asyut Petroleum and Al-Nogoum, winning all of them.
