Liverpool's first football team, led by their new coach Andoni Iraola, faced their counterpart Wrexham in a friendly match as part of the Reds' preparations for the new 2026/2027 season.
Liverpool had played their first friendly match at dawn last Sunday against Sunderland, and managed to achieve a 4-2 victory, in the first appearance of the new coach Andoni Iraola.
Liverpool will play 3 more friendly matches as part of their preparatory tours for the season, against Leeds United, Monaco and Como, before starting their Premier League journey with a strong match against Newcastle United on August 23.

This season is considered the first for Liverpool without the Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah in 9 years, after the Egypt national team captain decided to leave for free and waive his financial dues for the last year of his contract.
The Reds achieved their second victory against Wrexham with a goal without reply scored by the young player Rio Ngumoha in the 75th minute of the match.
The goal came after a wonderful run by Ngumoha on the right side, through which he penetrated the penalty area and shot the ball, which hit the feet of Wrexham defenders and settled in the net in the end.
