Egypt lost to South Africa under the leadership of Pitso Mosimane, by a single goal without reply, during the friendly match held this evening on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium, marking the conclusion of the Pharaohs' camp during the current international break. 

The starting lineup for Egypt against South Africa included Mostafa Shobair, Mohamed Hany, Hossam Abdel Magid, Rami Rabia, and Karim Hafiz; Marwan Attia, Mohanad Lashin, and Emam Ashour; Ibrahim Adel, Omar Marmoush, and Mostafa Ziko.

The first half was of average level from both teams, with a slight relative advantage for Egypt, but without significant danger to the goal, ending in a scoreless draw.

In the second half, South Africa succeeded in scoring the opening goal past goalkeeper Mostafa Shobair in the 51st minute of the match, through player Boso Dithijan, who exploited an error in the goalkeeper's positioning.

Hossam Hassan made several substitutions in search of equalizing the score, and Al-Mahdi Soliman, Zamalek's goalkeeper, participated for the first time with the Pharaohs, replacing Mostafa Shobair in the 70th minute.

The match between Egypt and South Africa was officiated by an Algerian refereeing team led by international referee Nabil Boukhalfa, who served as the main referee during the game, assisted by his compatriots Hamza Bouzid and Haitham Bouima.

Egypt had previously played two matches in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and South Sudan, drawing the first match scorelessly and winning the second by five goals to nil.
