Hany Abo Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association, was keen to honor Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, at Cairo Stadium.
The honor took place on the sidelines of the friendly match between Egypt and South Africa at Cairo Stadium.
Abo Rida presented the South African president with a Pharaonic souvenir gift, along with a shield from the Egyptian Football Association, in appreciation of the distinguished relations between the two countries and to strengthen sports ties between them.
The ceremony was attended by Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Khaled El-Darandaly, Vice President of the Football Association, as well as Mostafa Abu Zahra and Tarek Abu Al-Einain, members of the Association's board of directors.
Also present were Mustafa Azam, Secretary General of the Association, Shawky Gharib, Technical Director of the Association, Ahmed Diab, Chairman of the Egyptian Professional Clubs League, and Mohamed Yahia Lotfy, Chairman of United Sports Company.
Egypt concludes its training camp with a match against South Africa after playing two games against Angola and South Sudan in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
