Saudi press reports revealed that Saudi Al-Ittihad Club has reached an agreement formula with Neom officials, represented by the departure of midfielder Faisal Al-Ghamdi, the "Al-Ameed" player, during the current summer transfer window.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiya", Faisal Al-Ghamdi will move to Neom on loan for one season only, without a purchase clause.
The newspaper also added that Al-Ittihad Club will bear part of the player's salary, while Neom Club will bear the rest of the salary.
Faisal Al-Ghamdi missed traveling with the Al-Ittihad delegation to face Emirati Al-Jazira in the AFC Champions League Elite playoff round, 2026-2027 season edition.
Al-Ittihad had signed the 24-year-old in the summer of 2023 from Al-Ettifaq Club, before he went out on loan in the previous season to Belgian side K.V. Kortrijk.
The contract of the Saudi international midfielder extends until the summer of 2028, during which he played 51 matches wearing the "Al-Ameed" jersey in all local, continental, and international competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
