Al-Ahli Club presented an offer to Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie to return to the team's ranks again, as part of preparations for the new season.

The 29-year-old is now without a club after three years spent in the corridors of the Al-Ahli club in Jeddah, during which he achieved two consecutive AFC Champions League Elite titles, in addition to winning the Saudi Super Cup title last season.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Okaz", Al-Ahli Club's management presented an offer to sign Kessie for one season only, with a clause giving priority for an extension for one additional season.

The same newspaper added that the Ivorian international player will receive an annual salary estimated at 10 million euros.

Kessie has an impressive record with the Al-Ahli team since joining "Jeddah's Pole" in the summer of 2023, participating in 119 matches, scoring 26 goals, and providing 15 assists.

"Al-Raqi" aims to bolster its ranks with a foreign player in midfield, as Kessie has returned to the calculations, alongside the entry of Senegal national team and Spanish club Villarreal midfielder Pape Gueye.

The Al-Ahli team is expected to undergo many important tests this season, such as the Saudi Roshn League, the King's Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, the AFC Champions League Elite, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Al-Ahli team kicks off the new season by facing Al-Diriyah on Thursday evening, in the Saudi Roshn League competitions, 2026-2027 season edition.
