Mohamed Sherif, Al Ahly striker currently on loan to Iraq's Al-Zawraa, affirmed that there has never been any disagreement between him and Sayed Abdel Hafez, a board member, emphasizing that he holds great affection for him.
Sherif stated in remarks to "Modern Sport" channel: "My transfer to Al-Zawraa is an important step, but I am not fully fit physically. Al-Zawraa is a major club like Al Ahly in Egypt, and I wish them success."
He added: "There were rumors about me that I want to clarify. There was no meeting between me and Al Ahly where I demanded my full contract or all my dues before going out on loan. I have been greatly wronged by these news reports and statements about me."
He continued: "When I signed blank papers, it was out of love for Al Ahly, and I never negotiated with the club over any money whatsoever. Anyone can deny this, but Captain Wael Gomaa knows everything."
He further said: "I have been greatly wronged because of these statements, which I followed on social media even before sitting down with the club generally, and we agreed that I would go out on loan."

He went on: "We agreed on my departure on loan; they told me the coach believed it was best for me to leave, so I agreed and went out on loan. I never spoke about receiving all my dues as rumored."
Sherif concluded his remarks saying: "Al Ahly fans are always on my mind; they are the ones who built Mohamed Sherif's name, and may God honor them in the coming period."
