Press reports have revealed the role of Trabzonspor star Mohamed Salah in the Turkish club's nearing a deal to sign the former Liverpool player during the current summer transfer window.
Trabzonspor successfully bolstered their squad and managed to sign Mohamed Salah this summer on a free transfer, with a two-season contract and an annual salary of 17 million euros.
The newspaper "haber61" confirmed that Trabzonspor is on the verge of announcing the signing of Darwin Nunez on loan until the end of the season, arriving from Al-Hilal Saudi.
The newspaper added that one of the main motivations that encouraged Nunez to play for Trabzonspor next season is Mohamed Salah, as the Egyptian international personally contacted the Uruguayan striker to persuade him to play for the Turkish club.
It explained that Mohamed Salah outlined to Nunez the passion of the fans in Turkey, the atmosphere of Trabzon city, the club's vision and its ambitions in European competitions, which was a decisive factor in the player's nearing departure from Al-Hilal and signing with the Turkish team.

It added that Nunez is excited to work with Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor and is keen to form a lethal attacking duo against opponents' defenses, just as the pair played together at Liverpool before.
The newspaper continued, saying that the reason for the delay in Trabzonspor's announcement of signing Nunez is the travel of Ibrahim Shahinkaya, the Turkish club's vice president, to Saudi Arabia to complete the procedures for signing the player, which postponed the announcement of the deal for several days, but there are no obstacles.
It further clarified that the agreement is final between Trabzon and Nunez regarding the loan terms and Nunez's status, while the player's agent and Al-Hilal's management showed positive reactions toward Trabzon.
The newspaper confirmed that Ibrahim Shahinkaya was supposed to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Monday or Tuesday, but due to his busy schedule, his travel date was postponed.
There is no crisis in the agreement between Trabzon and Al-Hilal on Nunez's transfer, while Al-Hilal will cover a large portion of the player's salary during his loan period with the Turkish team.
The newspaper reported that Trabzon will pay 8 million euros of Nunez's salary with Al-Hilal, which is estimated at around 22 million euros annually, while the Saudi club will pay the remaining 14 million, removing any financial issue for the Turkish team.
