The budget has been exhausted.. Shock at Al-Nassr after announcing Costa deal

Al-Nassr Club received a strong blow in the file of new deals before the start of the new 2026-27 season, as "Al-Alami" announced in the past hours the signing of Portuguese player Samu Costa, coming from Real Mallorca.

Saudi newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" revealed a major surprise, as Al-Nassr's management was informed after completing the Costa deal that the budget allocated to it within the attraction program during the current summer had been exhausted.

The Saudi newspaper added that the Portuguese player's deal exhausted the entire amount allocated to Al-Nassr within the program for this summer.

Earlier Saudi press reports had revealed the completion of Costa's deal for 22 million euros, as the Portuguese midfielder's transfer is the first for the "Yellow of the Capital".

Al-Nassr suffered from financial crises that prevented it from obtaining the financial efficiency certificate, which delayed the announcement of Samu Costa's deal, who had reached an agreement a month and a half ago.

Al-Nassr has only concluded one deal during the current summer, and has not yet announced the renewal of Abdulrahman Ghareeb's contract, which expired at the end of the previous season.

Al-Nassr is scheduled to play against Al-Fateh on Saturday evening, in the first round of the Saudi Roshn League competitions, as "Al-Alami" seeks a good start.

Al-Nassr had won the Saudi Roshn League title in the previous season, after a competition with its rival Al-Hilal that extended until the final round.
