Mohamed Hani, the left-back of the Egyptian national team, defended the colors of his country's jersey after exiting the 2026 World Cup.

The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the World Cup after a dramatic loss to Argentina with a score of 3-2 in the round of 16 of the Mundial.

Hani wrote: "Egypt today.. Egypt tomorrow.. Egypt every day.. Egypt in defeat before victory."

The national team star added: "Egypt came, and the Egyptians came, then history came."

He concluded: "Before the eyes of the whole world, the Egyptians passed through here."

Hani participated in all five matches of the Egyptian national team in the World Cup.

The Egyptian national team finished second in Group Seven with 5 points, behind the Belgian national team by a point difference.

In the group stage, the Egyptian national team drew with Belgium and Iran, and won against New Zealand 3-1.

The Pharaohs achieved victory against Australia in the round of 32 on penalties, before losing to defending champions Argentina in the round of 16.

Hani created a single goal in the World Cup against New Zealand, after delivering a cross that Mustafa Zico successfully converted into the net.
