Hossam Abdel Majeed said via MBC Egypt: "Professionalism abroad? God willing, things have reached their final stages, and we are currently working on finalizing all the details of my professionalism."
He added, "The offer is indeed from Bulgaria. Some underestimate the value of this step, but I look at it differently. For me, it is a beginning that opens bigger doors for me in the future. I am 25 years old, and if I wait any longer, I may never turn professional."
He continued, "My departure does not mean that I hate Zamalek; on the contrary, I am a son of the club since childhood, and it is difficult for me to leave it, but the dream of professionalism haunts every player, and perhaps the beginning will be like it was with Mohamed Salah."
He went on, "I was unable to consult Mohamed Salah about this step because I learned about the developments of the offer just before my arrival. I wished to sit with him, but everyone I met congratulated me and assured me that it is a good step."
He answered, "A bridge to Al Ahly? Al Ahly is a big club and any player dreams of playing for it, but my situation is different. If I were thinking of moving to it, I would have waited until the end of the remaining six months in my contract with Zamalek and then left for free, but I did not do that."
He continued, "When this professionalism offer reached me this season, I preferred that Zamalek benefit financially from my departure, because the club has a great favor upon me."
He stressed, "My contract with Zamalek was not the best, despite the fact that I spent my entire life inside the club. I do not think about playing for Al Ahly in the future. My goal is to honor Zamalek and open the door for its players to turn professional, then return to the club again."
He revealed, "I hope to play one day at Barcelona. I am a fan of Messi, and I used to cry as a child when he lost, and I was very impressed when I saw him on the pitch, but at the end of the match I felt defeated because of the result."
He continued, "People's feelings towards Messi changed after the match, but honestly, he did not make any bad gesture towards the Egyptian national team."
He added, "Hossam Hassan is a wonderful technical director, and he can in a short time integrate any player into the team's atmosphere, and the best example of that is Hamza Abdel Karim."
He stressed, "Omar Marmoush is a very important player for the Egyptian national team, and his presence on the pitch gives the team a great addition, as he always seeks to make a difference."
He explained, "Before executing the decisive penalty kick against Australia, the entire season flashed before my eyes, and I remembered the penalty kick I missed against Al Ahly, but I was determined to shoot, and I had studied the goalkeeper's movements well."
He continued, "Zico's disallowed goal against Argentina was wonderful and impressed me, starting from Haitham Hassan's run, then Mohamed Salah's distinguished pass."
He concluded, "We started to believe in our ability to win after Yasser Ibrahim's goal against Argentina, and after Mustafa Shobeir saved Messi's penalty kick, we felt that the match was within our reach, but it was God's will and what He willed happened."
