The first football team of Liverpool Club, coached by the Spaniard Andoni Iraola, is preparing to complete its preparations for the new 2026/2027 season after the victory over Wrexham.
Liverpool had played its first friendly match at dawn last Sunday against Sunderland, and managed to achieve a 4-2 victory, in the first appearance of the new coach Andoni Iraola.
The Reds achieved their second victory against Wrexham with a goal without reply scored by the young player Rio Ngumoha in the 75th minute of the match, (For details click here).
Liverpool will play two more friendly matches as part of its preparatory tours for the season, against Monaco and Como, before starting its journey in the English Premier League with a strong match against Newcastle United on August 23.
This season is considered the first for Liverpool without the Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah in 9 years, after the Egypt national team captain decided to leave for free and waive his financial dues for the last year of his contract.

Liverpool is scheduled to face its counterpart Leeds United on Sunday evening, August 2, at exactly ten o'clock in the evening Cairo and Mecca time.
