Bournemouth's French player Junior Kroupi underwent a successful surgical operation.

Bournemouth revealed via its official website that Kroupi suffered a foot injury during training in Austria in preparation for the new season.
The 20-year-old Kroupi returned to England earlier this week to undergo the surgery.
Kroupi's absence from the pitch has been confirmed for a period not specified by the club in its official statement.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Kroupi will be sidelined for a period ranging between 3 to 4 months.
Consequently, Kroupi will miss the start of the season with Bournemouth.
Bournemouth opens its matches in the upcoming season with a clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on August 23.
Bournemouth indicated that Kroupi will receive medical support to begin a rehabilitation period in preparation for his return to the pitch.
Kroupi was the subject of interest from several European clubs during the summer transfer window, most notably Barcelona.
However, Bournemouth refused to sell its French striker for any fee, leading Barcelona to announce its withdrawal from the deal.
The English club held on to the player even amid reports of offers reaching 80 million pounds sterling for his services.
Kroupi delivered an outstanding season with Bournemouth during 2025-2026, having scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League matches, contributing to the team's qualification for the Europa League for the first time in its history.
The player's contract with Bournemouth extends for four more seasons.
