Italy nominates 14 stadiums to host Euro 2032 matches

Via FilGoal

The Italian Football Federation has submitted the dossiers of 14 candidate stadiums to host matches for Euro 2032 to UEFA.

Euro 2032 is scheduled to be jointly organized by Italy and Turkey.

UEFA will study and evaluate the dossiers of the 14 stadiums, before the Italian Federation finalizes its selection and settles on only five stadiums to host the tournament matches in Italy.

The 14 candidate stadiums are located in 13 Italian cities: Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Florence, Genoa, Lecce, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Salerno, Turin, and Verona.

Rome is the only city with two stadiums on the list, but one of them is still at the project stage and construction has not yet begun; it is the proposed new Pietralata stadium for AS Roma.

The list also includes the San Siro stadium in Milan, following the completion of its reconstruction, to serve as a shared venue for the city's teams, AC Milan and Inter.

The Italian Football Federation indicated that UEFA will begin examining the submitted dossiers to ensure that the candidate stadiums comply with the required standards and conditions for hosting the tournament competitions.

It clarified that the announcement of the five stadiums that will host Euro 2032 matches in Italy will take place after the evaluation stages are completed and their compliance with the required standards is verified.
