Tunisian professional Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, Al Ahly player, has become close to moving to the ranks of Al Shamal of Qatar during the current summer transfer period, according to what "Yalla Koura" learned.
The 26-year-old moved to Al Ahly's ranks last summer from Hungarian club Ferencváros, and the Tunisian player is linked to a contract that extends until the summer of 2029.
The Tunisian professional played 36 matches with Al Ahly in all competitions, where he managed to score two goals, in addition to creating four goals, according to the player's stats on "Transfermarkt".
Recently, Ben Ramadan has been linked with leaving Al Ahly, amid interest from Al Shamal of Qatar, and the player's name has also been linked with a move to the ranks of Saudi Al Hazem, according to Saudi press reports.
In contrast, Moroccan Hussein Ammouta, the technical director of Al Ahly, gave the green light to the officials of the "Red Castle" for Ben Ramadan's departure during the current summer.
Decisive meeting
A source at Al Ahly revealed to "Yalla Koura" today, Friday, about a session that will be held tomorrow, Saturday, between the trio of Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al Ahly board member and football supervisor, Essam Serag, head of the contracts committee, and Hussein Ammouta.
The source - who preferred not to be named - added that the meeting comes to settle the names of those leaving the team during the current summer transfer period, and also to discuss the positions nominated for reinforcement in the event that Ben Ramadan's departure deal is completed.
The source explained that there are three positions nominated for reinforcement with a foreign player, starting with contracting with a defender to bolster the backline, especially since Hussein Ammouta requested the necessity of reinforcing this position during the current summer.
As for the second position that Al Ahly wants to reinforce, it is the midfield, especially after the departure of Malian international Aliou Dieng to the ranks of Spanish Valencia in a free transfer deal, while the third position is the right winger.
Al Ahly's football team played two friendly matches against Cairo's Al Nasr, and the Red team won 5-1, then achieved victory over Laviina 7-1.
Al Ahly is scheduled to play a third friendly match against Petroleum Assiut on August 5, before the team travels to Spain.
Al Ahly will hold a training camp in Spain starting from August 6 until the 19th of the same month, and the team will play a friendly match against Barcelona on August 19 as part of the Joan Gamper Tournament.
