The Algerian Football Federation announced the technical staff of its national team following the departure of Swiss coach Vladimir Petković.
Petković left his position as Algeria's coach after the team was eliminated in the Round of 32 at the World Cup.
In an official statement, the Algerian Federation revealed the appointment of former international player Ibrahim Hamdani as interim head coach of the Algerian national team.
He will be assisted by Antar Yahia, Nasser Dainache as fitness coach, and Nasreddine Bararma as goalkeeping coach.
The Algerian national team is preparing to face Zambia and Burundi in the Africa Cup qualifiers on September 25 and 29.
Additionally, they will play a friendly match against Niger on October 6 in preparation for upcoming competitions.
Algeria is placed in Group Nine alongside Zambia, Togo, and Burundi.
Hamdani, aged 48, played during his football career for French clubs Caen, Strasbourg, and Marseille, as well as Scottish club Rangers, before retiring in 2009.
Hamdani previously coached French clubs Marignane Gignac and Courbevoie before moving on to manage the Algerian youth national team.
