Egyptian international player Haitham Hassan, who recently transferred to the Scottish club Celtic, spoke after officially joining his new team.
Haitham Hassan excelled and delivered a distinguished performance with the Egyptian national team in the concluded 2026 World Cup and played a role in the historical qualification of the Pharaohs to the round of 16.
Thanks to his wonderful and amazing skills in facing Argentina in particular, Haitham Hassan became a target for big clubs in Europe such as the French Olympique Marseille.
The Scottish club Celtic announced its official contract with the Egyptian national team star with a contract extending for 4 seasons, (to know more details click here).
Haitham Hassan said, in statements via the official website: "It is a wonderful moment and a great honor for me to join Celtic".
He continued: "Happy to represent this ancient club with great history and wonderful fans".
He added: "I look forward to getting to know all my teammates in the team and facing the challenges that await us".
Haitham concluded his statements by saying: "I want to contribute to achieving success for our fans with great eagerness".
Haitham came to Celtic club coming from the Spanish Real Oviedo which was relegated to the second division.
