Haitham Hassan: I did not hesitate to accept Celtic's offer

Haitham Hassan, the player who recently transferred to the ranks of Scottish Celtic, expressed his great happiness with that step in his professional career.

Scottish Celtic Club announced its signing of Haitham Hassan, coming from the ranks of the Spanish Real Oviedo team, as part of strengthening its squad during the current summer transfer window.

Haitham Hassan said in official statements after completing the deal: "It is a wonderful moment and a great honor for me to join Celtic, this historic club with a glorious history and wonderful fans".

The Egyptian national team right winger, who participated in the last edition of the World Cup, added: "When I learned of Celtic's interest in me, I did not hesitate to join them".

Haitham Hassan concluded his statements by saying: "I look forward with eagerness to getting to know all my teammates in the team and facing the challenges that await us.. I want to contribute to achieving success for our fans".

Haitham Hassan signed a contract extending for 4 seasons with Scottish Celtic, with the option to extend for an additional fifth season, and he will wear the number 23 shirt with the team.

The 24-year-old player began his professional career with the French club Châteauroux before moving to Spain in 2020 to join Villarreal, and from there to Miranda, then Sporting Gijón, before joining Real Oviedo in the summer of 2024.

Haitham Hassan played an important role in Real Oviedo's promotion to the Spanish Primera División during his first season with the club, where he participated regularly in the team's La Liga matches last season.
