Journalistic reports revealed Manchester City's stance on accepting the second offer submitted by Barcelona to sign Rodri, captain of the Spanish national team, during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Rodri was one of Real Madrid's main targets during the current mercato, but everything changed over the past two days as Barcelona entered the deal.
After Rodri was ready to play for Real Madrid and expressed his desire to do so, the situation changed completely when the white club's management delayed completing the deal.

Previous reports indicated that Rodri changed his mind after consultations with Barcelona players in the Spanish national team, who helped convince their captain to consider wearing the Barcelona shirt.
According to the English network "City Xtra", Manchester City informed Barcelona of rejecting the second offer submitted by the Catalan club.
The second offer submitted by Barcelona to sign Rodri was £51.3 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
It stressed that Manchester City informed Barcelona that they must pay £70 million to sign Rodri.
