Feelings of joy dominated the French national team camp after the final whistle of the match against Morocco, while an atmosphere of sadness loomed over the Atlas Lions players after bidding farewell to the 2026 World Cup competitions from the quarter-final round.
The French national team players celebrated qualifying for the semi-finals with the "Roosters" fans who supported the team in the stands, amid enthusiastic atmospheres, as the technical director Didier Deschamps was keen to share the joy of qualification with his family members after the end of the match.
On the other hand, signs of sadness and disappointment were evident on the Moroccan national team players, who left the pitch affected by the loss, after their dream of continuing the journey in the World Cup ended.
The French national team had secured the qualification ticket to the semi-final round of the 2026 World Cup, after defeating Morocco two goals to nil in the quarter-final round, to repeat its superiority over the Atlas Lions in the World Cup for the second time in a row, after also eliminating it from the semi-finals of the 2022 edition in Qatar.
