Brazilian Trabzonspor player Fabinho revealed the details behind his departure from English club Liverpool in the summer of 2023.
Fabinho moved to Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 after golden years with Liverpool.
Fabinho told journalists: "I did not want to leave Liverpool and move to any other club in Europe."
He added, "I saw Liverpool as the best place in the world to play football and continue developing as a player. I wanted my career and legacy with the club to grow even more, but my final season with the team was extremely difficult and exhausting."
Fabinho won the Premier League, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Club World Cup with Liverpool.
Fabinho joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer following the end of his stint with Al-Ittihad, having played 44 matches across all competitions last season, totaling 3,906 minutes, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
Fabinho returned to play alongside Mohamed Salah, after the two had previously been teammates at Liverpool.
