The Egyptian national team delegation arrived in Cairo, returning from South Sudan after playing the second round of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Egypt secured a 5-0 victory to top their group in the qualifiers.
The Egyptian delegation left South Sudan at 1:00 PM Cairo time today, on a journey that lasted five hours.
Egypt's technical staff decided to give the players a rest from training on Wednesday following their arrival in Cairo.
According to a statement by the Football Association, the team is scheduled to regroup on Thursday afternoon in preparation for the friendly match against South Africa.
South Africa will visit Egypt next Sunday at 9:00 PM at Cairo International Stadium.
Egypt achieved several records following the Pharaohs' big win over South Sudan.
The Pharaohs defeated South Sudan with five goals scored by Omar Marmoush (two), Mostafa Abdel Raouf "Zico", Ibrahim Adel, and Hamza Abdel Karim.
Egypt raised its points tally to four in the group.
