The World Championship is held in Romania during the period from July 29 to August 9, 2026.
The Egyptian youth handball team defeated the French team 29-24, in a match that witnessed complete dominance by the Egyptian team throughout both halves.
The Egyptian youth team had previously secured victory over the Croatian team 27-24 in the first round.
The Egyptian youth team's tally reached 4 points, securing their qualification to the main round of the championship.
Egypt's youth group in the main round will include the first- and second-place teams from the second group, which features Denmark, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and Mexico.
The Egyptian team concludes its first-round matches in the championship by facing the Fiji team next Saturday, August 1.
