The Egyptian under-18 women's national team has qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2026 Handball World Championship held in Romania.
The Egyptian team will face China in the quarterfinals next Thursday, August 6, at 4:00 PM Cairo time.
The match will be broadcast on the International Handball Federation's YouTube page.
China had lost to Hungary this evening in their final match of the second round of the main round, 36-41.
Thus, the Chinese team finished second behind the leading Hungarian team in the third group of the main round.
The Egyptian team secured first place in the first group of the main round after defeating Denmark 23-22, maintaining their lead in the group.
On the other hand, there will be a strong matchup between Hungary and Denmark in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Denmark-Hungary match will be held on Thursday evening at 6:30.
