Via Yallakora

Egypt fell to a 1-0 defeat against visiting South Africa in an international friendly held at Cairo International Stadium, as part of both teams' preparations for upcoming competitions.

The visitors' only goal came in the 51st minute through Buso Dithetjane, following a counter-attack triggered by a poor clearance from goalkeeper Mostafa Shobier. The ball reached the South African player, who dribbled past Hossam Abdel Magid and scored into an empty net.

The crossbar denied Egypt an equalizer in the 96th minute after a corner kick. Osama Faisal's header was saved by the goalkeeper, and Ibrahim Adel's subsequent shot struck the bar.

Zizo took a direct free-kick in the final seconds, which was saved by the visitors' goalkeeper, leading to a dangerous counter-attack for South Africa that was difficultly stopped by goalkeeper Mehdi Soliman.
