The Egyptian national football team, led by Hossam Hassan, continued its training session this Thursday evening at the Cairo International Stadium, in preparation for a friendly match against South Africa.
The team's training session saw the participation of 22 players, as part of preparations for the friendly match scheduled to take place next Sunday evening at the Cairo International Stadium.
Ahmed Fathy, the team's left-back, performed rehabilitation exercises under the supervision of the medical staff, after sustaining a thigh bruise during the recent match against South Sudan.
The medical staff is working to prepare Fathy for participation in the match against South Africa, depending on his response to the rehabilitation program in the coming period.

Egypt will face South Africa at 9:00 PM next Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium, marking the end of both teams' camps during the current international break.
Hossam Hassan, Egypt's head coach, and Pitso Mosimane, South Africa's coach, enter the highly anticipated matchup with great ambition to secure victory and boost confidence ahead of upcoming official competitions.
Egypt began the international break with a goalless draw against Angola in the first round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, before regaining their balance and thrashing South Sudan five goals to nil.
On the other hand, Pitso Mosimane started his tenure with the South African national team strongly, leading "Bafana Bafana" to a 2-1 victory over Guinea in his debut, before securing a big win against Eritrea with a clean sheet of five goals.
