Ahmed Kalousha, a defender for the first football team at Eastern Company FC (ENPPI), revealed the behind-the-scenes details of his previous signing with Zamalek and the reason for the deal's failure, while also discussing the possibility of transferring to Al Ahly.
In television statements via On Sport channel, Ahmed Kalousha said: "I signed for Zamalek before, but it wasn't meant to be. No one can refuse big clubs like Al Ahly or Zamalek."
He clarified: "This happened three years ago, during the tenure of Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, but the two clubs did not reach an agreement due to a specific request from Ayman El-Sherei, which I understood."
He added: "It is a great honor for my name to be linked with Al Ahly Club, but I have been focusing on my work since the beginning of the season. I set a plan for myself to focus on the pitch and leave any other matters to my agent."
He continued: "The pitch is the most important thing. I hear what is being said, but the pitch is what brings everything. I thank Captain Yasser Radwan, who previously coached me at Al Nasr; he likes me and knows my capabilities well."
He concluded: "Al Ahly Club is one of the best clubs in Africa, and any club in the world prepares well to face them. Al Ahly fans are always looking for victory, regardless of the tournament or the opponent, but I have abilities that I can showcase."
