They also defeated Germany's Fuchse Berlin 30-27 in their final group stage match of the IHF Super Globe.
David Davis, Al Ahly's handball coach, said via the club's official website: "This week has been like a dream for me, starting with beating a European team like Fuchse Berlin in the group stage, then finishing third in the tournament against our traditional rival Zamalek and winning the bronze medal."
He added, "It was a perfect week in every sense of the word, with truly overwhelming emotions that I will never forget. I am very proud of the players and what they delivered, as well as the work we have done."
He emphasized, "We must maintain this level, as this is just the beginning of the season, and we need to continue working, performing, and improving. The next step is to win another title."
