The North American Football Confederation "CONCACAF" issued an official statement confirming its position on the proposal of the International Federation "FIFA" to invest in the World Cup tournament.
CONCACAF and its 41 member associations confirmed their rejection of the International Football Federation's proposal regarding the sale of shares in the World Cup to private sector investors.
CONCACAF stated in its statement: "History has shown FIFA and the football family what happens when those in charge of the game overlook values".
He added: "We held our meeting for the heads of the 41 member associations, and Gianni Infantino's proposal to establish the FIFA Forward Foundation will be discussed".

He continued: "The members express their great concern about the legal procedures in this proposal and the short artificial deadline imposed, which lacked any review or approval from the relevant FIFA governing bodies".
CONCACAF raised questions in its statement about the feasibility of this proposal to finance the new and existing FIFA Forward programs after achieving the highest profits in history through the World Cup.
CONCACAF confirmed in its statement: "We reject FIFA and Infantino's proposal; it is necessary to communicate with FIFA to determine how to use the latter's current reserves to increase funding for the proposed program to develop football in our region".
The statement concluded: "CONCACAF council members have been tasked with directing Infantino to ensure that all proper procedures are followed, and we affirm that the future of football and its most important assets must remain in the hands of the football family".
