Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool star, expressed his enthusiasm for the new season with the Reds, explaining that he wants to become a role model for the rest of the English club's players, especially after the departure of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson from the team's ranks.
Liverpool played a friendly preparatory match for the new season this morning against Wrexham, and succeeded in achieving victory with a goal without reply scored by the young winger, Rio Ngumoha.
Liverpool enters a new era before the start of the upcoming season, under the leadership of head coach Andoni Iraola.
Szoboszlai said in a press conference reported by Liverpool's official website, discussing the team's camp in the United States: "The training center is wonderful, and I think everything any player needs is available here".
He added: "Chicago is a very beautiful city, as much as we can go out for a walk a little, or perhaps have a cup of coffee, the places are beautiful too, and the people are friendly with us, so yes, I am happy to be here".

He explained: "I think the two matches so far that we have played were slightly different from the match that will be played in Chicago against Leeds United, because of course we have Ryan Gravenberch and Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak, who played a big role last season, and the season before that as well, they have not played with us yet, I look forward to the match against Leeds and we hope to show better than the previous two matches".
Regarding renewing his contract with Liverpool and the terms of his new salary, Szoboszlai continued: "I am very happy at this club and I have said this before, in fact, we have come a long way until we reached a final agreement, but I am happy to sign a new contract, I hope to stay as long as both parties want that to happen, and to achieve everything possible, as I said when I first signed here".
He continued: "I say the same thing I said when I signed for Liverpool for the first time, I want to win everything possible, achieve great accomplishments, and be a helping factor for the club".
Regarding the departure of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson from Liverpool, he continued: "Some club legends left at the end of last season, but I think the club is still the same as it always was, it is one of the biggest clubs in the world".
He went on: "Now, one has left, and another has come, and we have to take responsibility, and be role models for the next generation, I am not saying that I am old, but I am trying to be a role model on and off the pitch".
He concluded: "I try to help everyone, and I think many players think the same way I do, and we all want to succeed together".
