Mostafa El-Batouti, the General Manager of Football at Ceramica Cleopatra Club, spoke about the loan of Nijet Gradišar, the return of Islam Eissa, and the Confederation Cup issue.
Ceramica Cleopatra signed Gradišar from Al Ahly Club on a one-season loan.
Meanwhile, Islam Eissa suffered a cruciate ligament tear during Egypt's match against Spain last March.
In a television interview, El-Batouti said: "Gradišar is playing for Ceramica Cleopatra for one season on loan from Al Ahly."
He added: "Al Ahly covers part of Gradišar's salary while he is with Ceramica Cleopatra."
He continued: "Marwan Osman did not get his full chance at Al Ahly, especially given the pressures the club faced last season, but he is a very distinctive player, and his return is a strong addition to Ceramica Cleopatra."
He went on: "Islam Eissa has started his rehabilitation and is running on the field. The Football Association has provided support and assistance to the player, and the medical staff of the Egyptian national team, as well as Ceramica Cleopatra, are continuously monitoring his condition."
He clarified: "It was natural that Ceramica Cleopatra would participate in the Confederation Cup, in line with what happened in previous years, and we were congratulated on our participation in the tournament."
He concluded: "We found that the Football Association's regulations state that the cup runner-up participates in the Confederation Cup, but we had not reviewed the regulations at the start of the season. We must comply with the regulations set by the Association. Certainly, we wanted to participate, but what would have been the point of objecting? We accepted the situation, and if we had believed that objecting and issuing statements would change the situation, we would have done so."
