Moataz El-Batawy, supervisor of Ceramica Cleopatra's first team, revealed the latest updates on the injury of Islam Eissa, the team's star player.

Islam Eissa suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear during Egypt's friendly match against Spain before the World Cup.

Moataz El-Batawy, Ceramica Club's football supervisor, stated on "ON" channel: "Islam Eissa is making good progress in his recovery and today completed his first running drills around the pitch since sustaining the injury. He is under continuous supervision by Mohamed Abou El-Ela, the physician of the Egyptian national team."

He added, "Gradisar's contract with Ceramica Cleopatra continues until the end of the season. Al-Ahly bears part of the player's salary, as agreed between the two clubs when finalizing the loan deal."

He responded, "Marwan Osman's lack of success with Al-Ahly might be due to the circumstances the team went through during the period he joined, which did not allow him to perform as expected."

He continued, "Marwan Osman possesses a strong personality that enables him to handle pressure. He is a distinguished striker capable of delivering strong performances in the upcoming period."

Concluding his remarks, he said, "Regarding ZED's participation in the Confederation Cup despite Ceramica's announcement? We are committed to the regulations, even if some details were not clarified before the start of the season."

Ceramica Cleopatra announced its participation in the Confederation Cup after securing fourth place, but the Football Association declared ZED, the Egypt Cup runner-up, would participate instead.

From Egypt, Al-Ahly and ZED will participate in the Confederation Cup, while Zamalek and Pyramids FC will compete in the CAF Champions League.
