The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that its Executive Committee has approved the competition calendar for the period from 2026 to 2030, aiming to provide greater clarity and stability in tournament planning for national associations.
The CAF Executive Committee, chaired by Patrice Motsepe, held a video conference meeting on Friday evening to take several important decisions.
In an official statement, CAF indicated that during this meeting, a number of key decisions regarding its competitions and the timeline of future activities were approved.
An official statement from CAF read: "The Executive Committee has approved the CAF competition calendar for the period from 2026 to 2030, providing member associations, clubs, and other stakeholders with greater clarity and stability when planning competitions and events."
In another context, the CAF Executive Committee received a presentation on the latest developments regarding preparations for the upcoming CAF Strategy Conference, scheduled to be held on Sal Island in Cape Verde from October 7 to 9, 2026.
Regarding the 2026 Women's Champions League, the following was decided:
1 - The CAF Executive Committee approved the dates for holding the 2026 Women's Champions League.
2 - The final stage of the tournament will be held from November 1 to 15, 2026.
As for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, it was decided that Senegal, the title holders, will host the event from November 28 to December 6, 2026.
During the same meeting, CAF also decided to hold the Best Player in Africa awards ceremony for 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria, on December 7.
