The Argentina national team secured a big win over Burkina Faso with seven goals to nil.

Argentina defeated Burkina in a friendly match held at the Monumental Stadium in Argentina.

The match saw the absence of Lionel Messi, who is preparing to play his final match wearing the Argentina jersey during his career.

Seven different players scored for Argentina during the match.

Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the fourth minute after a penalty save by the goalkeeper, which he then followed up into the net.

Argentina added the second goal in the eighth minute through an own goal by Burkina player Moumouni Diallo.

Just four minutes later, Gianluca Prestianni added Argentina's third goal with a shot from inside the penalty area, capitalizing on a pass from Lautaro Martinez.

Nico Paz scored the fifth goal in the 35th minute from a one-on-one situation after a pass from Alexis Mac Allister.

One minute later, Julian Alvarez scored Argentina's fifth goal, taking advantage of a pass from Prestianni inside the penalty area to put the ball directly into the net, ending the first half with five goals.

In the second half, the situation did not change much, and Argentina's dominance continued. Franco Mastantuono added Argentina's sixth goal in the 57th minute from another one-on-one opportunity, but this time with a pass from Lautaro Martinez.

Giuliano Simeone completed Argentina's seven-goal tally in the 93rd minute with a header following a cross from Valentin Barco.

The Argentina national team will play an additional match during the international break against Benin early Wednesday morning, October 7.

The match against Benin will see Messi participate and will be his last appearance in the Tango jersey after his announcement of retirement from international football.
