The draw for the AfroBasket U18 Women's Championship, hosted by Côte d'Ivoire from August 5 to 16 of this month, was held with the participation of 12 national teams.

The tournament features the participation of Egypt's junior women's national team, after it won the fifth-region qualifiers championship recently held at Cairo International Stadium.

The draw placed the national team in Group 2 alongside Mali, Morocco, and Benin.

The roster includes 12 players: Jouri Nizar, Malak Al-Azab, Sidra Shalaby, Hania Nasser, Yasmine Al-Gamal, Fatima Mohamed, Maryam Hazem, Malak Al-Hamli, Hana Al-Baz, Layla Hossam, Zeina Halim, and Sidra Haitham.

The tournament is contested in a single round-robin format among the three groups, with the top eight teams from the group stage advancing to the quarterfinals.

The teams finishing first in each group will be seeded from first to third place.

The second-place teams from each group will be seeded from fourth to sixth, and the two best third-place teams from seventh to eighth, based on number of wins and point differential.

Accordingly, the quarterfinal matchups in the AfroBasket U18 Women's Championship will be as follows:

First place × Eighth place.

Second place × Seventh place.

Third place × Sixth place.

Fourth place × Fifth place.
