Press reports revealed the exclusion of a first-team football player from FC Barcelona from the Spain national team camp ahead of the match against the Czech Republic, within the framework of the 2027 UEFA Nations League.
The Spanish national team played two matches in the UEFA Nations League against England and Croatia.
Two matches remain for the Spanish national team during the current international break in the same tournament, against the Czech Republic and Croatia again.
The Spanish national team faces its Czech counterpart this evening, Saturday, as part of the third round of the UEFA Nations League, at 9:45 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Pau Cubarsí will not participate in the match against the Czech Republic in order to rest him.
It reported that Cubarsí's absence is not due to any physical problem; rather, the coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, chose to rest the Barcelona defender after he played the full 180 minutes in the last two matches, against England at Wembley Stadium and against Croatia in Seville.
It mentioned that the goal is for Cubarsí to be fully ready for the upcoming match against Croatia next Tuesday.
