The Jordan Football Association announced the appointment of Badou Zaki as coach of the Jordan national team.
Zaki signed a one-year contract renewable with the consent of both parties.
Zaki's appointment comes as a successor to Jamal Al-Salami, the former coach of the Nashama.
Zaki's most recent experience was with the Niger national team, during which he led the team in 21 matches, winning 7, drawing 6 and losing 6.
Zaki has previously coached more than one team, most notably Wydad, Ittihad Tangier, the Morocco national team, the Sudan national team and Maghreb Fes.
During his career, Zaki won a single title, the Algerian Cup with Chabab Belouizdad.
Zaki also previously led Morocco to the final of the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations.
Al-Salami had led Jordan to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in its history.
Jordan exited the 2026 World Cup from the group stage after losses to Algeria, Argentina and Austria.
