The Egyptian national team has announced a friendly match against South Africa next October at Cairo Stadium.

Ibrahim Hassan, manager of the Egyptian national team, clarified via the official website of the Football Association that the match against South Africa will be held at 9:00 PM on October 4 next at Cairo Stadium, as part of the Pharaohs' preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Football Association took advantage of the South African national team's presence in Cairo to face the Eritrean national team, which has chosen Egypt to host all its qualifying matches for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Pitso Mosimane, former Al Ahly coach, is currently managing the South African national team.

The Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hassan, is preparing to start the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with matches against Angola and South Sudan next September.

The Egyptian national team will face Angola at 10:00 PM on September 25 next at Cairo Stadium, in the first round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian national team will play its second qualifying match against South Sudan on September 29 next in Juba, at 3:00 PM Cairo time.

The Egyptian national team is in Group 2 of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, alongside Angola, South Sudan, and Malawi.

The Egyptian national team is looking to arrange a friendly match in September against one of the national teams of Tanzania, Ghana, or Rwanda.
