João Félix aims to return to Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer window, after regaining his form with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr and expressing his desire to return to European football.

The Portuguese striker's contract with Al-Nassr expires on June 30, giving him the opportunity to move for free, as he wishes to embark on a new experience with one of the Champions League clubs and restore stability to his career.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", João Félix's biggest dream is to return to Barcelona, a wish that his agent Jorge Mendes has already conveyed to the Catalan club, although the team's attacking line currently appears crowded with players.

Since moving to the Saudi league, the Portuguese player has regained his form and unexpectedly become one of the key stars of his national team, while his market value has also risen again.

João Félix believes that returning to Barcelona could give him an opportunity to prove his abilities once more, in a scenario similar to João Cancelo's return to the Catalan club via Jorge Mendes.

Mendes previously facilitated Cancelo's return to Barcelona under financial conditions suitable for the club, and successfully transferred Karim Adeyemi to the team after the player expressed a desire to join Barcelona.

Although João Félix is not currently a priority for Barcelona, his availability for free could make him a viable option given the economic difficulties the club may face next summer.

Furthermore, the player is willing to significantly reduce his salary to return to Barcelona, in addition to possessing offensive attributes that are not fully available among the other members of the team's frontline.

João Félix's future remains open until next summer, but his desire to return to Europe is clear, with Barcelona remaining the destination he dreams of returning to.

João Félix previously played for Barcelona on a one-season loan from Atlético Madrid, but he failed to establish himself as a regular starter for the team.

His move to Barcelona at that time was not requested by Xavi Hernández, who was not fully convinced of the player's capabilities, whereas club president Joan Laporta was one of the main supporters of the idea of signing him.

João Félix played 44 matches for Barcelona, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists, but he did not deliver a sufficiently consistent level of performance to convince the club to activate the final purchase clause.

After his stint with Barcelona ended, João Félix moved to Chelsea, where he also experienced a difficult period and did not receive regular playing minutes, despite the English club retaining his services permanently and signing him to a contract extending until 2031.

In 2025, the Portuguese striker decided to embark on a new experience in the Saudi league alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, succeeding with Al-Nassr in regaining his form and becoming one of the competition's standout players.
